Window on the Arts festival
is Saturday, September 13!
The seventh annual Window on the Arts festival of Art,
Music, Food and History will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from
10:00AM - 4:00PM in Klumpp Park, Windsor NY!
The juried art show featuring dozens of professional artists and craftspeople offers festival attendees a unique variety of paintings, jewelry, fabric arts, glasswork, pottery, woodwork, photography and more. Many of the artists return year after year and some new talent is also acquired each season with several artists demonstrating their skill at the festivals.
We are pleased to announce that our Featured Artist this year is Robert Merwin from Owego, NY. Bob is a retired commercial artist who, like most true artists, never really retired. He has a studio at 42 Lake St. in Owego NY where he shows and sells his work and also teaches classes in oil and acrylic painting. Bob has been a participating artist in Window on the Arts for many years and has earned several awards at the Windsor festival and many other events.
The featured artwork for Window on the Arts 2014 is a custom painting by Bob Merwin titled Sovereign of the River. The 18” x 24” painting features a majestic Bald Eagle perched over a verdant river valley and is a scene near and dear to many of us. The signed, framed artwork is available to one lucky winner of our 2014 raffle which will be drawn at 4:00 PM on the day of the festival. Chances are just $5 and only 500 will be sold.
As always, several other raffles are also available including
the Window on the Arts Shopping Sprees.
We are offering three (3) $50 Shopping Sprees this year for just $3.00
per ticket. Our third raffle is the very
popular Art Supply Basket full of all types of artist supplies and these
tickets are only $2.00 each. We are pleased to announce that Linda Yonchuk is our
new raffle coordinator!
Look for the Window on the Arts raffles tickets at your local shops and offices soon. The Robert Merwin painting can be viewed in the window of the Windsor Whipworks Art Center, 98 Main St. Windsor NY and on our website. www.windowonthearts.org
The festival has free admission and free onsite parking and also features a food court, live music, chef demonstrations, local history presentations, emerging young artists, student art show, face painting, children's art projects and much more!
